Opis i korišćenje

Terranova je 2015. godine odlučila da standardnu folnu kiselinu zameni metilfolatom. Na ovu odluku uticala su naučna istraživanja koja su pokazala da veliki procenat ljudi ima genetsku mutaciju koja sprečava da se folna kiselina pravilno metaboliše. Ljudi koji imaju mutaciju MTHFR gena za metilfolat ne mogu da koriste folnu kiselinu jer ne mogu da je prevedu u aktivni oblik. Terranova je počela sa proizvodnjom pojedinačnog metilfolata za osobe čija je potreba za folatima veća od one koja se može naći u multivitaminima ili kompleksu B vitamina. Magnifood kompleks u ovoj formulaciji ne predstavlja samo izvor folata, već i izvor nutrijenata koji sinergistički deluju sa folatima. Na primer već folatima, poput trimetilglicina i gvožđa iz cvekle , cinka iz bundevinog semena i drugih B vitamina iz pirinčanih mekinja.
