L-izoleucin, L- leucin, L- valin su tri esencijalne aminokiseline nazvane BCAA (aminokiseline razgranatog lanca). Ove tri esencijalne aminokiseline igraju presudnu ulogu u proizvodnji energije i pomažu u oporavku mišića nakon napornog treninga. Telo te aminokiseline ne sintetiše i zato ih se mora steći ishranom.
