Opis i korišćenje

Vitamin B-6, odnosno piridoksin, je jedan od najznačajnijih vitamina iz grupe vitamina B kompeksa. Kliničke studije ukazuju na njegovu bitnu ulogu u regulaciji nivoa homocisteina koji predstavlja faktor rizika za mnogobrojna srčana oboljenja.

U kombinaciji sa dobro balansiranom dijetom sa niskim sadržajem masti, vitamin B6 smanjuje rizik od vaskularnih bolesti. Koristi se u tretmanu anemije.

Neophodan je za normalno funkcionisanje nervnog sistema. On omogućava stvaranje neurotransmitera koji prenose poruke u nervnom sistemu. Pored toga, omogućava formiranje mijelinskog omotača i sintezu hormona koji regulišu raspoloženje (serotonin) i bio-ritam (melatonin).
