Opis i korišćenje

Alfa-lipoinska kiselina je di-sulfidno jedinjenje poznato kao bitan kofaktor u reakcijama proizvodnje energije u organizmu. Ona takođe predstavlja snažan biološki antioksidans i široko je rasprostranjena u biljnim i životinjskim izvorima.

Većina metaboličkih reakcija u kojima alfalipoinska kiselina učestvuje, odigrava se u mitohondrijama. Alfa-lipoinska kiselina ostvaruje svoju kofaktorsku ulogu u okviru dva enzima – piruvat-dehidro-genaznog kompleksa i de-hidro-genaze alfaketo kiselina koji učestvuju u metabolizmu ugljenih hidrata, masti i aminokiselina.

U Nemačkoj je odobrena kao lek za tretiranje polineuropatije (dijabetične i alkoholne polineuropatije i bolesti jetre). Alfa-lipoinska kiselina poseduje biološku antioksidativnu aktivnost i aktivnost u povećanju proizvodnje biološke energije.

Suplementacija alfa-lipoinskom kiselinom može da smanji nivo glukoze u krvi, tako da je za dijabetičare i osobe koje uzimaju antidijabetike potreban poseban oprez, kako bi se izbegla moguća hipoglikemija.

Preporučena upotreba: Popiti 1 tabletu dnevno, najbolje uz obrok.

Nema podataka o prekomernom unosu alfa-lipoinske kiseline. Na osnovu podataka iz PDR for nutritional supplements doze do 600 mg dnevno alfa-lipoinske kiseline se dobro podnose. Osobe sa dijabetičnom neuropatijom mogu da koriste 300 mg alfa-lipoinske kiseline dnevno podeljeno u nekoliko doza.
