Koprinus sadrži veliki procenat kalcijuma, kalijuma, gvoždja, magnezijuma, cinka, mali procenat natrijuma, bogata je proteinima u kojima je 20 slobodnih amino kiselina, od toga 8 esencijalnih koje ljudsko telo ne može samo da proizvede.

Kada je u pitanju Coprinus Comatus, često se kaže da je najbolja medicinska pečurka za pomoć pri mršavljenju. Proučavana su njena lekovita svojstva i dokazano je da doprinosi bržem metabolizmu organizma. Ova pečurka smanjuje razvoj masnog tkiva, podiže nivo dobrog holsterola i snižava loš holesterol.
